Appearance and Personality

Blubo is a baby flying monkey. He is no larger than a cat, has plump, rosy cheeks, brown fur, and wears a tiny vest. Bat-like wings grow out of his back[2]. He can talk, and he likes bananas.

When Alex, Conner and their friends arrive at the castle of the Wicked Witch of the West, they find it deserted save for Blubo. When they ask what happened, he tells them all the flying monkeys and the rest of the Witch's army were forced to go with her into a book portal created by the Masked Man. Blubo expresses fear for his family, who were forced to join the Masked Man's army. He was spared of this fate because he was too young to be controlled by the Wicked Witch of the West's golden hat. They promise Blubo to try and free his family.[3]
