The C.R.A.W.L. Revolution, short for 'The Citizen Riots Against Wolf Liberty' took place in the Northern Kingdom in the early Golden Age. It resulted in the creation of the Red Riding Hood Kingdom, currently known as the Center Kingdom.
A group of villages in the Northern Kingdom were constantly under attack by wolves. They begged the kingdom's ruler (at that time), the Evil Queen, for help. Since she refused, the villagers revolted and started their own kingdom. They built a huge wall around it so wolves couldn't get in.
Queen Red Riding Hood was elected as queen. The first elected queen in the history of the Fairytale Land, the villagers felt that her story was the most symbolic of their struggle.[1] The only other candidate was the Third Little Pig, but he declined.[2] Red remembered the election a little differently: she mentions that Granny was asked first, but declined, and Billy Bopkins was suggested (but turned down due to being a goat), and everyone then looked to her, and she quickly accepted.[3]
Red also said Granny was very active in the revolution and caught a cold during a hunger strike- which lead to Red's mother sending Little Red Riding Hood into the forest to visit her grandmother. [4] Red claimed she didn't know the Big Bad Wolf in Granny's bed wasn't her because according to Red, Granny was always dressing up strangely as a form of protest.
A negative result of the C.R.A.W.L. Revolution was the creation and rise of the Big Bad Wolf Pack. A group of wolves directed descended from the original Big Bad Wolf under Malumclaw to get revenge on the Center Kingdom.
The C.R.A.W.L. Committee[]
Red mentioned that the revolutionaries were lead by a committee that consisted of "a farmer, a shepherdess, three village elders, and a chicken"[5], and they appointed Queen Red Riding Hood as the new queen, after her experience with the Big Bad Wolf as a child.
