Appearance and Personality
The Queen of Hearts is an evil, bloodthirsty and unreasonable tyrant. She is a hideous woman with an unusually large head, a wide mouth and unpleasantly flushed cheeks. She wears an unflattering gown of mismatched hearts and a crown. Her scepter and jewelry are also hearts.
While her partners-in-cime Captain Hook and the Wicked Witch of the West are in it for some sort of gain (besting Peter Pan, and a special pair of silver shoes), the Queen of Hearts appears to have joined the Masked Man's forces simply so she could have more heads cut off.
In Beyond the Kingdoms, the Queen of Hearts agrees to help the Masked Man and travels into the Land of Stories with him, together with her playing card army.
In An Author's Odyssey, she and the other literary villains grow impatient with the Masked Man, and when he fails to keep his promise, they try to kill him. Together with Captain Hook and the Wicked Witch of the West, the Queen of Hearts takes over reign of the Land of Stories.
